Solid Natural Deodorant (like LUSH’s T’eo)

This is our exclusive recipe duplication of Lush’s T’eo Solid Deodorant. It makes one 4 oz bar and all the ingredients have been weighed unless specified.

Solid Natural Deodorant (like LUSHs Teo)

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 ozs Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
  • 1 oz Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 oz Magnesium Carbonate
  • 1 tblsp. Apricot Kernel Oil
  • 1 tsp. total of the following Essential Oils – Tea Tree, Lemon, Juniper, Lemongrass
  • Drops or spritz of witch hazel
  • Pinch of cornflowers
  • Oval mold

Weigh and measure out all the ingredients into a stainless steel bowl. Add the cornflowers and spritz a few times with witch hazel until the mixture stays together in your hand. Don’t get it too wet or it will become too hard once it’s dried to rub off on your underarms. Push mixture into our oval plastic mold and let dry overnight. Remove from mold.

For the Wax on the bottom:

  • 2 ozs Beeswax Pearls
  • 1/2 oz Candililla Wax
  • pinch of FD&C Blue 1

Melt the waxes on a low stove top setting. Let cool for a few minutes. Carefully dip the bottom and lower sides of the bar into the wax. It will dry very quickly so you can dip a few times to get a nice coating of wax.

You can make the recipe as big as you need it to be. Made with all natural ingredients that can be found on our website.

Natural deodorants work nicely but they are not anti-perspirants. They help to mask odors only. Our sweat is not what smells, it’s the bacteria that makes us smell. Combating the bacteria with natural essential oils and natural absorbing powders keeps us fresh and chemical-free!
